ABOUT EVERMORE YOGA+WELLNESS

Relax and Enjoy

We are Whitecourt's locally owned boutique studio built around a simple idea: creating a welcoming space where everyone can feel comfortable showing up as they are.

Our studio is designed to feel warm, comfortable, and easy to settle into. We've created a serene, safe, and non-judgemental environment for every body. We offer:

  • secure change rooms
  • water cooler
  • hair elastics and some hygiene products
  • mats/props to use if you don't have your own
  • lemongrass facecloths after heated yoga classes
  • ...and more

OUR APPROACH

We believe yoga is a personal practice - one that looks different for everyone.

Yoga is non-competitive. Go at your own pace. Be respectful towards your body, never moving to the point of pain. Rest as needed.

Our instructors are here to guide, support, and meet you where you are.

FRIENDLY FACES OF EVERMORE

Meet Our Team

Our instructors bring a range of styles, backgrounds, and approaches to their teaching - each with a shared focus on creating a supportive and welcoming environment.

Angela Plouffe

Angela is proud owner of Evermore Yoga and Wellness since November, 2020.

She is very passionate about yoga & wellness as well as small business, so purchasing the studio was a perfect fit.

Angela completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher Certification through Sacred Seed Yoga & Ayurveda School in May of 2018. She went on to complete her 20hr Restorative Yoga Certification in February of 2020 and received her 30hr Yin Yoga & Mindfulness Certification in October of 2020, both again with Sacred Seed.

Teaching Chair Yoga to seniors in the community since 2018 has been a great pleasure as community involvement is very important to her.

Angela is pleased to teach Chair Yoga in the studio (and at the Seniors Circle) as well as many other styles of yoga.

Angela is also an End of Life Community Advocate (Death Doula) and offers trainings and events at the studio regarding the topic of death.

Brittany Lawlor

Passionate about mobility and functional movement, Brittany, otherwise known as 'Yoga with B', offers a comfortable experience in YOUR body. In her classes you can expect an exploration that leaves you feeling confident in the way YOU are designed to move and feel.

She is a 200E- RYT and has certifications in workplace mental health, stress management, meditation, Nidra and yoga. You can find her offering anything from dreamy guided mediation to hot sweaty flows, with her unique take on sequences and perception.

After yearning for inspiration during her years of motherhood, she found it in yoga practice, an anchor to sustaining wellness in everyday life. The pillars of wellbeing and mental health keep her a student; always learning more to offer.

She is encouraged by giving back and community so she created a local karma initiative #wctcommunityyoga to offer donation classes in order to raise funds for local organizations and charities. You can also find her working closely with sports teams and groups with private classes; making yoga classes a truly unique experience.

She looks forward to holding space for you on your journey.

You will find Brittany for Sunday Night Yin at 7pm - 8pm and the occasional Saturday for Warm Flow at 10am.

Annette Cartwright

Yoga found Annette at the age of 40 and it changed everything. After many years of leading fitness classes in Whitecourt, she discovered the power of breath, balance, and mindful movement. Now, she's all about sharing the magic through yoga.

Holding certifications from the AFLCA as a group fitness instructor; 200hr YTT from Yoga-Fit; Yin & Rocket Yoga from Empowered Yoga; Stott Mat Pilates; and Yoga Fusion from Helen Vanderburg, Annette blends styles to create classes that feel good and do good for the body and mind. Her teaching is warm, welcoming, and rooted in the belief that movement is medicine.

Whether you are new to movement or a seasoned yogai looking to deepening your practice, Annette's here to guide you with heart, strength, and some good vibes.

You will find Annette teaching on Tuesdays at 7pm - 8pm for Hot Flow and the occasional Saturday Warm Flow at 10am.

Amanda Zierath

Amanda started practicing yoga in her living room in 2018 as yoga was a way for her to slow down, reconnect, and feel at home in her body.

Eventually she started attending classes at Evermore Yoga.

Encouraged by her yoga teacher, she took her 200 YTT with Sacred Seed Yoga and in 2024 began her journey to become a Children's Yoga teacher with a 30 hour Level 1 Children's Yoga certificate from GloWithin.

Amanda's Yoga philosophy is that every body is a yoga body, and she hopes to inspire new norms about what a yoga teacher and yoga student should look like. Yoga has helped transform her own health and body. She hopes to help others experience the same benefits that she has experienced through a regular yoga practice.

You will find Amanda teaching on Thursdays at 5:30pm - 6:30pm for EVERYbody Flow and the occasional Saturday Warm Flow at 10am.
